After seeing a photo of the Kaweco Skyline Sport range, I was so excited for its release. I\u2019m a Kaweco fan generally, but the colours in this range really spoke to me \u2013 such as Mint, Grey, Macchiato and Pink. I needed a new ballpoint pen for my collection, and eventually settled on Mint \u2013 after much deliberation! Of course, I then had to purchase the matching fountain pen and mechanical pencil too, but I’ll save discussion of those for another time…<\/p>\n

\"The<\/p>\n

This pocket-sized ballpoint pen is so much fun! It goes without saying really, but the colour is gorgeous, and the glossy finish is perfect. If you\u2019re the kind of person who gets upset about fingerprints on pens (which can be an issue with a few Kaweco pens, due to their finish), you can safely enjoy this Skyline pen. Made from tough yet lightweight plastic, this pen is also built to last and should be able to stand up to a fair amount of ‘abuse’ (i.e. time spent in my handbag).<\/p>\n

The new silver finishings work perfectly with the Mint colour, which combine to create a really modern feel. The Kaweco logo on the push-button at the end of the barrel looks gorgeous, and really stands out against the simple design and block colour of the barrel.<\/p>\n

The Kaweco Skyline Sport ballpoint pen<\/a> is designed in the classic octagonal Kaweco Sport barrel shape, which has been in use since 1935. It\u2019s a classic for a reason: it works! The chunky shape gives this pen a real presence in your hand, despite its short length, and at just 11g it\u2019s really comfortable to write with. The pen is 15mm wide and 105mm long.<\/p>\n

\"The<\/p>\n

This Kaweco ballpoint works via a metal tip heart-curve mechanism and is provided with a D1 metal refill in blue with a lovely 1mm writing point. I find the nib very smooth, and the pen very comfortable \u2013 even for writing longer notes. In fact, this has just become my new favourite pen for on-the-go note-taking.<\/p>\n
