Amanda summarises her entry as a “super girly look”, and we agree! She used some of her favourite washi tape and gem stickers to cover the black barrel of the pen, remembering not to add any gems to the part of the pen she would be holding when she uses it to write. The top of the pen is a speech bubble shape, which Amanda added the competition hashtag to, and further decorated with more gem stickers.<\/p>\n

Name: Natalie Shaw<\/h3>\n

Location: Alabama, USA<\/h3>\n

Natalie and her kids had loads of fun designing and making these Star Wars Lightsaber pens! As Natalie explained, “I purchased the cheapest pens on the planet and made them the best pens in a Galaxy Far, Far Away!” After removing the ink refill, ensuring the pen will be reusable for many years to come, Natalie used Sculpey clay to build lightsabers – using the pen as the base. She snipped the pen lid clips off, and used the lids as the hilts. After baking and leaving to cool, the ink refills were reinserted and battle could commence!<\/p>\n

Ellie chose to pimp a fineliner, due to fineliners being her favourite pen type for doodling and drawing. Being a cat-lover, whose cat always tries to curl up on her knees when she’s working with her pens, Ellie decided to go for a cat theme in the competition; using luxurious velvet for the cat’s body and foam for the head and whiskers etc.<\/p>\n

Clair chose an Easter theme for her plain see-through blue pen. To achieve this she used yellow feathers for the base and cute little pastel-coloured chicks hiding within them. The result is very fluffy!<\/p>\n
