Here at the Pen Company, we love everything there is to know about pens, whether it\u2019s new technology, anniversary editions, or even pen events!<\/p>\n

One of the newest, which has come our way via the internet, is the brilliant International Pen Show<\/a> that takes places every single year in San Francisco.<\/p>\n

This year has been one of the biggest, with 78 vendors, exhibitors and traders flocking to Sofitel in San Francisco Bay.<\/p>\n

Dan Smith at Fountain Pen Geeks wrote that<\/a>:<\/p>\n

\u201cI loved it \u2013 for the accommodations, the access to both a fine restaurant as well as nearby other choices, and most of all a spacious and well-lit event room to host in.<\/p>\n

There is room for growth, which I don\u2019t doubt will happen next year. The organizers took very good care of the vendors, sellers, and traders, with breakfasts in the morning, snacks in the afternoon (for all!) and a killer live music event on Friday night with a hosted bar.\u00a0The Royal Deuces\u00a0were an inspired choice, and everyone had a good time.\u201d<\/p>\n

Indeed, the event, which lasted from August 22-24, included exclusive talks about pens, the industry, history and even trivia about the much loved writing tool.<\/p>\n

To attend, visitors were charged $10 per day or $15 for a two day pass (a three day pass required a sign-up), and to the delight of many, children under the age of 13 enjoyed free admission into the event.<\/p>\n

Exhibitors included The Wahl-Eversharp Company, Bittner and the Pen World Magazine amongst many other great and well-known brands.<\/p>\n

When announced in March, one internet forum was particularly pleased about the event. The Fountain Pen Network<\/a>, a place for fountain pen enthusiasts to discuss, compare pens and learn, ran a six page thread, discussing the much anticipated show.<\/p>\n

User, Zaddick, was exceptionally happy about the event and commented that it was, \u201cExciting stuff. Already doing good deeds around the house to ensure I can go with a\u00a0fist full of cash and the wife’s blessing.\u201d<\/p>\n

What\u2019s more, the event has announced that it shall be repeating the show next year and should take place around the same time.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
